The 6th Annual “Maters and Music Festival” sponsored by The Byron Herbert Reece Society at The Reece Farm is featuring 7 different types of performances throughout the day beginning at 10AM and lasting until 4Pm on Saturday, August 10th. There is a lot of variety and a lot of talent, making for a fabulous day of fun, fellowship with neighbors, good food, and entertainment. Some people like Gospel Music; Some like Country; Some like Western; Some like Bluegrass; and some like all of the above. A special treat is by James Spiva who has set some of Byron Herbert Reece’s ballads to music. Beautiful and touching ballads! I hope you come out and enjoy this special day at the Reece Farm. Don’t forget to speak to the Farm Animals, walk by the Creek and admire the Sculptures and the Barn. If there’s not enough time in the day, come again. The Farm and exhibits are open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. FREE.
