Dear Members of the Byron Herbert Reece Society:
Please mark your calendar for Saturday, June 26, 2021. You are invited to attend an informal gathering of the Byron Herbert Reece Society at the Reece Farm.
Since many of us haven’t visited the Reece Farm since before the pandemic, the Society Board felt that a Spring outing would be a wonderful way for the members of the Society to enjoy the company of other members surrounded by the beauty of the Farm that we all love. We have scheduled our gathering event at 3 PM to 5 PM. It will be casual and impromptu. Members will be free to mix, mingle and tour the Farm and exhibits. The Barn Museum and the Pentecost Appalachian Tool Shed will be open for your enjoyment. Friends and relatives are also welcome.
Separate from the Reece Society event, “The Wilderness Pickers” has been scheduled from 1 PM to 3PM in the pavilion prior to our gathering. That part of the afternoon is open to the public . You are also welcome to come, bring lawn chairs and join them in the pavilion. If you have not had a COVID vaccination, it is suggested that a mask be worn.
Society Members, along with Board Members, who are interested in helping plan and/or volunteering to work at the 7th Annual “Maters and Music Festival are invited to participate in a brief meeting around 4PM to discuss the planning of the Festival which is scheduled for August 11th.
Our Annual Membership Meeting is scheduled in September with details to be announced later.
